Residents at Abbeyfield House on Lawn Avenue in Great Yarmouth have good reason to celebrate - manageress Karen Wade has been awarded Gold Star Status.
To achieve the status, Karen and her team attended courses on a regular basis ensuring their Health and Safety records, fire practices, etc were all up to the mark. This is in addition to running the shared accommodation on a daily basis, providing two nutritious home-cooked meals and getting the balance of privacy, support, security and freedom for residents to come and go as they please just right.
“We’re all delighted to have achieved this status,” said Karen. “It confirms our house is running in top notch order. Along with my team we strive to maintain a happy healthy lifestyle for the residents.”
Abbeyfield sheltered housing provides support and companionships for older people. The Lawn Avenue house comprises nine private rooms, all with en-suite facilities that can be furnished to suit individual tastes. There is also a guest room for short or evaluation stays. Along with the dining room there is also a sun lounge and gardens.
