POLICE in Gorleston are urging people to ensure their vehicles are left locked and secured after a number of cars had their wires tampered.

In three incidents between 10pm on Sunday, June 6, and 8.30am on Monday, June 7, the cables under the steering wheel had been interfered with.

Over that time the offenders have forced entry into a blue Vauxhall Astra on Pavilion Road, a red Ford Fiesta on Avondale Road and a VW Polo on Upper Cliff Road.

Officers would like to remind people to leave vehicles locked and secure at all times and not to leave valuables on display or anywhere in their car while it is parked on the roadside or in a car park.

Items left on display such as a sat nav or even a mount for a sat nav system can attract the attention of thieves.

Police are investigating possible links between the above incidents and would like to hear from anyone with information in relation to the incidents.
