Firefighters sprang into action early this morning to rescue a person who had become trapped in a lift.
The incident occurred at around 5.30am in Clarence Road, Gorleston.
Fire crews were initially alerted at 5.34am and were one scene just five minutes later.
They used a variety of hand held tools, such as crow bars, to pry the lift open and free the person trapped inside.
The fire crew, from Great Yarmouth station, worked quickly and efficiently and the person was freed just after 6am.
