A Gorleston-born man is biking his way 800 miles round the country in just seven days in support of the armed forces.Keith Nursey, 47, is one of nine cyclists who are setting out from a Royal Navy base at Yeovilton in Somerset on Saturday on their gruelling charity trek.
A Gorleston-born man is biking his way 800 miles round the country in just seven days in support of the armed forces.
Keith Nursey, 47, is one of nine cyclists who are setting out from a Royal Navy base at Yeovilton in Somerset on Saturday on their gruelling charity trek.
Mr Nursey, a former Royal Navy engineer with 25 years of service, and his group will be arriving at Burgh Castle, near Great Yarmouth on Monday.
They will be staying at the Breydon Water Holiday Park and will be collecting money at the park.
The group hope to raise at least �20,000 as they cycle through Aldershot, Essex and Wootton Bassett on their 800 mile journey in aid of Help for Heroes, the Royal British Legion, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and St Margaret's Hospice.
They will also visit wounded servicemen at the Headley Court and Selly Oak medical units.
Mr Nursey, who now works as a civil engineer at RNAS Yoevilton, will also be visiting his mother, Norma, in Gorleston and has been told he has to fix her radiator.
He will be joined on the 800 mile ride by his son Liam, a university student studying sports science.
