IAN Hacon, 40, of Gorleston is being mentored by Comic Relief ultra runner Jackson Williams in his preparation for the 2009 Flora London Marathon.

Father of three, Mr Hacon is chief executive of Blue Sky Leisure, which owns Kelling Heath Holiday Park, Woodhill Holiday Park, Blue Sky Homes and Zaks Restaurants. He said: “This is my first attempt at a marathon. Jackson's advice is to do the distance in training so the psychology of whether you can do it or not is already overcome when the real marathon day arrives.

“I am getting on really well with my training and I was due to do a 22 mile run that week anyway, so what's another 4.2!”

The pair aims to run the equivalent of the London Marathon in Norfolk from Zaks Waterside to Kelling Heath Holiday Park in Weybourne.

Jackson Williams, has just returned from the Comic Relief sporting achievement of cycling from Norwich to London and then running back covering 230 miles in just 2 days. He is preparing for a record breaking run across Australia next summer.
