Gorleston’s Olive becomes great, great grandmother

IT was a day of pride, tears and warm-smiles when the birth of a baby girl extended a Gorleston family to five generations. The newest addition was born last month when mum Whitney Williams gave birth to Daisy-May on October 2.

It means the Williams family, who all live in Gorleston, now has five living generations with Daisy-May, mum Whitney, 18, grandmother Ellen Williams, 38, great grandmother Lesley Philpott, 57, and great great grandmother Olive Legget, 57.

This picture shows the first time all the generations have been photographed together.

The addition of Daisy-May means great great grandmother Olive has one great great grandchild, 43 great grandchildren, and 22 grandchildren.
