A Gorleston primary school is in line for a prestigious national award.

Ormiston Herman Academy has been shortlisted in the Early Years Setting of the Year category in the Times Educational Supplement Schools Awards.

The annual awards celebrate “the vision, commitment, and outstanding contribution to education made by teachers and support staff in the classroom and beyond.”

Herman, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, will be up against seven other early years settings across England for the award.

The winner will be revealed in an awards ceremony in London on June 24.
