A picture taken in Great Yarmouth has won a national photography award.
Gail D’Almaine, the photographer, took first place in the street photography category at the annual Master Photographers Association (MPA) awards.
Judges said: “The decisive moment was captured superbly with a low camera angle and perfect timing.”
The picture was taken on the promenade in Great Yarmouth.
Ms D’Almaine said: “I spotted the walkers approaching each other and knew the animals would react. The tension was palpable... I pressed the shutter just as the animals reacted with leaps and barks.”
She said the image illustrates the light and space of the Norfolk she loves.
“I still can’t believe my incredible luck to be living here in a place that feeds the soul, hauntingly beautiful and full of amazing people and creatures.”
Ms D’Almaine moved to Norfolk in 2017. She said the county has everything a photographer could desire.
