Police have said no further action will be taken against a Great Yarmouth man after he was arrested in an incident which saw armed officers deployed.
The man was arrested on Monday after police were called to Marsh Road at about 5.25pm.
As part of the call-out police sent armed officers and a Norfolk Constabulary drone flew over the area as it was reported the man had a fire arm.
However the man was released from police custody today with Norfolk police saying no further action would be taken against him and the man only had a hand drill and said the incident was a neighbour dispute.
During Monday’s incident Chief Inspector Lou Provart posted from the police control on Twitter.
He said: “I have deployed the #Drone to assist with a #Firearms deployment in #Cobholm this evening.
“The matter has resolved successfully.
“No further comment will be made tonight on the operation, but I am grateful to the residents in proximity for their patience and cooperation.”
