A choir of Great Yarmouth schoolchildren has joined voices with 8,000 children from across the UK for a sell-out show at one of London’s biggest live venues.
Pupils from Great Yarmouth Primary Academy travelled to London for the Young Voices concert at the O2 Arena.
In front of a sold-out audience of families and friends, the children sang with special guests including soul singer Natalie Williams, 16-year-old busker and YouTube star Alfie Sheard, and vocal harmony group The M4gnets.
Their set included pop hits such as Ed Sheeran’s Castle On The Hill and Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered and cartoon themes including The Flintstones and Scooby Doo.
This is the fifth year that a choir from Great Yarmouth Primary has taken part in the annual concert, which aims to inspire a love of music and create memories for the children that will last a lifetime.
The school’s choir organiser Maryann Willis said: “The concert brings our children and families together and creates a great sense of community that I am proud to be part of.
“The children performed amazingly and said that it has made them much more confident about their singing.”
