It is the second day of the Great Yarmouth Air Show today with tens of thousands of people descending on the seafront.

The show starts at 1pm and like the first day will offer brilliant and eye-catching displays, including the Red Arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Organisers are delighted with how the first day went and predict another day of a bumper crowd along the seafront.

As well as the aerial acts there is a chance to try out virtual flights, such as the Red Arrows or a Spitfire.

Organisers sent out a Tweet last night that said: “What a fantastic day, thanks to all who came to the 1st day of our new air show today. Let’s do it all again tomorrow (Sunday)”

TRAVEL AND PARKING DETAILS

BUSES AND TRAINS

Greater Anglia have promised a boosted service for the air show.

Lengthened trains will be in operation, running half hourly throughout the day and three times and hour during peak times.

The lengthened trains will be comprised of three carriages rather than the usual two, plus two additional locomotives have been hired, each capable of carrying more than 500 people.

Even with the boosted service though, Greater Anglia is advising travellers to expect large queues and busy trains.

First Buses will also be increasing the frequency of their X1 and X11 services

from Norwich to Great Yarmouth.

During Saturday daytime, buses will run every 10 minutes, rather than the usual 15 minutes, and on Sunday the service will run every 15 minutes, rather than the usual 30 minutes.

Larger buses will also be used, and in the evening double deckers will be used instead of the usual single deckers.
