Archant

hitting the right note: Carol singing members of the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Holiday Association Ladies Club raised £1,000 for good causes. The group of current and former hoteliers donated £500 each for Help for Heroes and the East Anglian Air Ambulance at a cheque presentation ceremony last week. Funds were collected through carol singing at turkey and tinsel parties held at the Raynscourt Hotel last Christmas. East Anglian Air Ambulance fundraising manager Hannah Clay accepted the cheque during the club’s meeting at Yarmouth Tourist Information Centre. New members are always welcome to join the club, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
