The Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Lifeboat Station is holding its first annual open meeting at the Cliff Hotel in Gorleston on Wednesday, May 30 from 7pm.
The purpose is to give an overview of the work carried out at the station by the crew and Ladies Guild during the past year. There will also be a presentation by an area lifeboat manager on the future plans for the RNLI as a whole.
A fish supper will be served at the conclusion of the meeting.
Tickets for the supper costing £12 per head can be purchased from Margaret Cooper by calling 01493 664570.
There has been a RNLI lifeboat station presence in the area for nearly 200 years and in that time crews have received 58 medals for bravery.
The station operates the Samarbeta, a Trent class lifeboat, and the B class Seahorse IV.
