A quiz night at the Prom Hotel in Great Yarmouth has resulted in £2,000 being handed to a Norwich City legend who is now involved with a sight loss charity.

The quiz night, which was in aid of the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind, was organised by the town’s Barclays branch’s business managers Miles Fagan and Matthew Crickmore and raised £1,000. Barclays then match funded the sum.

At the quiz night was the charity’s head of fundraising and former Canaries striker Jeremy Goss.

He said: “We are extremely grateful to the Barclays coastal business team for their hard work in making such a success of their quiz night, and also to Barclays itself, which has once again been incredibly generous in matching the funds raised by its staff.

“The NNAB relies entirely on the generosity and dedication of fundraisers to deliver our vital work right across the county.”
