Great Yarmouth Sea Life centre is calling for volunteers to help out with a beach cleaning event - with a free trip to the centre on offer in return.
The shore-line tidy will start from outside the centre at 4pm on Tuesday, April 17, and staff will supervise the collection team and assist with logging and bagging debris.
Maxine Culleton, marketing coordinator at Sea Life Great Yarmouth, said: “We need as many volunteers as we can muster for an hour-long scour of the shoreline to pick up everything we find that shouldn’t be there.
“Debris on our beaches is a problem, much of it ends up in the sea where it can become a serious hazard for marine life.”
Volunteers can contact the Sea Life Centre to register on 01493 330631, or just turn up at the meeting point on the restaurant patio.
Cleaners are advised to dress appropriately and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
