Man charged with producing cannabis plants in Great Yarmouth home

A 21-year-old man is to appear at crown court charged with producing cannabis plants at a home in the south of Great Yarmouth.

Eneri Demalji was charged after police seized around 100 cannabis plants from a property in Lancaster Road.

Demalji of Lancaster Road, is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on June 4 following an appearance at Norwich Magistrates’s Court on April 28.

Following the arrest, a Tweet from Great Yarmouth Police said: “A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was conducted in South Yarmouth...resulting in 100 cannabis plants being seized.

“This was a result from information direct from the public.”

A Norfolk police spokesman said: “A warrant was carried out in Lancaster Road in Yarmouth on April 27 resulting in the arrest of a 21-year-old-man and the seizure of around 100 cannabis plants. Eneri Demalji of Lancaster Road, Great Yarmouth, was subsequently charged with production of a Class B drug.”
