Donations flooded in to raise money for a cat that was hit by a vehicle in the car park of a superstore he calls his second home.

Frank was taken to the vets on yesterday morning as it was discovered that we would need an urgent operation as he had a torn diaphragm from the incident in the Tesco Extra car park.

Fans of the popular Great Yarmouth cat pulled together to help raise the £2,500 cost of his operation. By last night, that target was reached and donations were still flooding in with just under £3,000 raised.

Frank pulled through his operation and his owner, Dawn Myhill said: “The vets have informed me that Frank is doing well and they are taking him off fluids later. Hopefully he will be home in the next few days.”

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Everyone in our Great Yarmouth Extra store is sending their best wishes to Frank who is a popular visitor and we hope he makes a full recovery.”
