A garden party will be held in Great Yarmouth next month to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Afternoon tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes will be served by a team of the charity’s volunteer fundraisers at 54 South Beach Parade on August 1 from noon to 4pm.

The Great Yarmouth British Heart Foundation fundraising group has recently launched and this will be the first time the team have held a fundraiser. Money raised will go towards research to help prevent and treat heart and circulatory disease.

Denise Childs, volunteer for the Great Yarmouth group said: “We’re really looking forward to the garden party. It’s set to be a really fantastic afternoon and we hope to see lots of people coming together to join us in the fight for every heartbeat.

“We are hoping to raise £500 for the BHF’s life saving research, which will help make a difference to the lives of those fighting a daily battle with heart conditions.”
