A Great Yarmouth store has announced the local charity which will receive its backing for the following year.
Sainsbury’s Great Yarmouth has announced that for 2018, their charity partners will be Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Young Carers.
This comes after a successful two years backing the Hearing Dogs for Deaf charity.
The charity was chosen after it was picked by customers of the store.
Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Young Carers provides a service for young carers and young adult carers in the borough of Great Yarmouth by offering seven age-specific fortnightly peer support groups.
Rebecca Davis, store manager at Sainsbury’s Great Yarmouth said: “We’re really excited to be working with Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Young Carers, supporting such a fantastic cause. Everyone at Great Yarmouth is looking forward to working together for a successful partnership.”
The Local Charity scheme is now entering its tenth year, with a partnership launch weekend set to take place across Sainsbury’s stores from August 3 to 5.
