An arrest warrant has been issued for the owner of a Great Yarmouth shop who is alleged to have sold dangerous and illegal cigarettes and tobacco.

Dilshad Suleman, of Great International Food and Wine, was due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with 14 offences following a Norfolk Trading Standards visit at the store at 144 King Street last September.

Suleman, whose address as given as a flat at 144 King Street, is said to have cigarettes which had the wrong trade mark packaging, had tobacco products without health warning labels and supplied dangerous tobacco and cigarette products.

The products were found on September 11 and trading standards prosecutor Geoff Baker told the court a substantial amount of illegal products were found at the premises.

It was the second hearing Suleman was due to attend at the court and magistrates agreed to issue a arrest warrant, which will see bailiffs try and find him and the police notified.
