A man has been jailed for three years for dealing crack cocaine in Great Yarmouth.

Anthony Whitsey, aged 35 and of Aspley Road, was stopped by officers on King Street in June last year.

He was found to be in possession of up to 30 wraps of the Class A drug crack cocaine and diamorphine, along with cash and two mobile phones.

Whitsey was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and sentenced at Norwich Crown Court on Friday, January 5 having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Chief Inspector Nathan Clark, of Great Yarmouth police, said: “This case demonstrates how Norfolk Police will not tolerate drug dealing in the county. Under Operation Gravity, officers have continued to target those who are intent on committing drug related crime and we will seek to prosecute those found breaking the law.”
