Face-painting and a basketball shootout are among the fun activities will which delight visitors to Great Yarmouth Market on Saturday from 10am to 3.30pm.

The activities are part of an event called Making Markets Matter and which has the strapline of “Free fun for all the family”.

Run in collaboration with the National Market Traders’ Federation, the event is part of a national campaign to encourage the shopping
public to savour the joys of
the UK’s markets.

At Saturday’s free event there will also be a voucher vault, giveaways and the chance to meet Victor the
Lion.

The event is supported by Go Trade, an EU-funded project to help revitalise nine historic markets in England and
France and boost the wider town centre and visitor economy.

Go Trade is led locally by Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Great
Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership.
