Great Yarmouth police charge man with sexual grooming offences

Police have charged a 50-year-old man in connection with sexual grooming offences.

It follows an incident in Great Yarmouth on Tuesday where a man was arrested shortly before 4pm and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Kevin Ward, of no fixed abode, has been charged with five offences.

He was charged with two counts of an adult attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following grooming and three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Ward has been remanded in police custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
