POPPY sellers have cracked the �50,000 mark, raising the most cash for the appeal in the history of the borough.
A record-breaking �33,187.56 was raised by the Great Yarmouth branch of the Royal British Legion, and all five branches in the borough have now reached totals.
The grand total across the borough currently stands at �50,756.
Caister’s branch of the Royal British Legion raised �8,189.56 which is up a record 24pc on last year.
Bradwell and Burgh Castle raised �3,090, more than �1,000 up on last year.
Great Ormesby and District has �3,675.40 so far, more than �1,000 up on last year’s total, and Martham and District branch raised �2,614.
