Smart Radio GY has organised a toy drive for the children’s ward, which saw local business contribute to the appeal.

The presents were delivered by toy drive organiser and assistant station manager Ian Papworth, Neen Long, community liaison at the station, and Ross Jones, presenter and technical advisor.

Presents were also donated to Social Services to help children who have been placed into care and have no family to enjoy Christmas with.

The station also did not forget the nursing staff and supplied plenty of chocolates for them to enjoy during their shifts.

Carol Mitchell, station office manager, said she wanted to give a big thank you to everyone that supported the toy drive and its organisers for their hard work in helping to put a big smile on children’s faces.
