A resident from Great Yarmouth is to feature in a television advertisement for bingo site Tombola.

Claire Crawley is one of 25 people featured in the TV adverts which have been created by Über

The adverts were filmed at a number of locations in the north of England and featured real tombola players and chat moderators, to accurately reflect the community aspect of tombola.

The company recruited the 25 people who are also players via their website.

She said: Although I was initially reluctant to attend the auditions as I feared travelling on the London underground, when my train tickets arrived, I knew I couldn’t let tombola down.

“When I arrived my nerves were instantly settled and I felt at ease straight away. I had such an amazing time filming the ad, I had a brilliant day, I met amazing people and it was an experience I will certainly never forget. The process was so well planned that I almost forgot I was being filmed, I couldn’t have asked for a better day.”

The ads will be rolled out through TV advertising nationwide, with Über having created both the initial 30-second launch ad and a series of 20-second game adverts.

Greg Clarke, managing director of Uber said: “The tombola bingo shoot get bigger and better every year. Where most brands would be trying to extract a performance from an actor to get across their proposition we focus on getting the maximum enjoyment and camaraderie from real players.”
