A man suspected of shoplifting in Great Yarmouth today was arrested by police after he was found in a wheelie bin.

A man suspected of shoplifting in Great Yarmouth today was arrested by police after he was found in a wheelie bin.

Response officers were called to Palmers department store in the Market Place at about 10.40am following reports of a theft.

The 24-year-old suspect was found in a wheelie bin in Garibaldi Place after police followed CCTV images.

He has been arrested on the suspicion of shoplifting and is in custody at Yarmouth police station.
