The Beast from the East has blown into Great Yarmouth - much to the delight of hundreds of school children.
This morning residents of the town, Gorleston and villages across the borough woke up to several inches of snow.
Children could be seen throwing snow balls as they walked to their schools.
The main roads in Great Yarmouth were clear, but had some slush, with motorists driving slowly to avoid any prangs, especially if pulling out into roads.
A Tweet from First Bus Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft account said: “Good morning, services are running this morning. However services are delayed due to weather conditions.”
The Beast from the East has led to John Grant School in Caister and the Include Schools Norfolk in Great Yarmouth closing.
Regionally as of 7am, there were 985 cancellations on Greater Anglia trains.
There are no trains between Great Yarmouth and Norwich.
Cancellations were made all over the region, but included services on King’s Lynn to London Liverpool Street, Lowestoft to Norwich and Norwich to London lines.
