Great Yarmouth woman arrested over King's Lynn man's murder

Three people including a Great Yarmouth woman were tonight being questioned over the death of a man in King's Lynn, as police revealed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with his killing.

The 36-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested on Sunday, along with a 27-year-old man.

Three people were tonight being questioned over the death of David Williams, 31, who was found at his home in Leicester Avenue, Gaywood, on Saturday afternoon.

A further 27-year-old man was arrested at West Norfolk council’s offices in King’s Lynn this

lunchtime.

DCI Jes Fry, of the joint Norfolk - Suffolk major Investigation team (MIT), said detectives believed the three people currently in custody were known to Mr Williams and at this stage police were not looking for anyone else in connection with his death.

“It is important to stress there was no threat to other members of the community and it was a personal issue,” he said.

A Home Office post mortem confirmed that Mr Williams died from stab wounds.

Detectives from the MIT were called in on Saturday afternoon, as officers confirmed the death was being treated as murder.

Mr Williams and his partner are had a young baby, while his partner also had two children from a previous relationship.

Police said members of Mr Williams’s family had been informed of his death and were being supported by family liaison officers.
