Time is running out for people wishing to help shape the future of Norwich and surrounding areas.

The deadline for the Greater Norwich Local Plan - a consultation into where council bosses should place more than 7,000 homes - is 5pm on Thursday, March 22, leaving just a day for people to submit their comments.

Council bosses say between now and 2036, they must provide sites for almost 43,000 new homes in the area covered by councils in Norfolk, Broadland and South Norfolk - an area known as Greater Norwich.

While sites for 35,000 of these have been established, locations for 7,200 are still to be found.

A website for the consultation was set up in January, inviting residents and businesses to express their views on various proposals.

The deadline for this feedback is now looming, with the window closing at 5pm tomorrow.
