Tesco Extra Great Yarmouth celebrated the opening of its Bags of Help vote, with representatives from the groups to benefit from grants - Ormiston Herman Academy, Beaconsfield Inclusive Play Park (People of North Great Yarmouth - PONY), and Willow Tree Garden. Customers are being invited to help community groups and good causes in Yarmouth bag a share of a £12.5m carrier bag charge fund by casting their vote locally. The supermarket has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative, which sees grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to environmental and green space projects across the country.
Voting continues to November 13.
