A season of guided heritage walks is getting underway in Great Yarmouth with two special walks on Sunday and on next Tuesday.

Every year, Great Yarmouth Borough Council runs a programme of walks to historic buildings and other places of interest, led by volunteer heritage guides.

Caister-on-Sea, 2000 Years of History, is new for 2018 and is a chance to discover how Caister became a heroic lifeboat community from Roman beginnings.

The walk is on Sunday at 11am, starting at Holy Trinity Church and progressing through the village to Caister Lifeboat Station. Tickets £6.50 for adults and £4.50 for children.

The Pirates, Witches & Thieves of Olde Yarmouth, is on Tuesday at 7pm. It is a “costumed walk” in which some of the infamous characters of Yarmouth’s history will tell its darker stories. Tickets £7.50 for Adults and £4.50 for children.

Both walks must be pre-booked from the Tourist Information Centre on 01493 846346.
