HAVEN Bridge was fully open to traffic again this afternoon, easing traffic congestion in the town centre.
Engineers succeeded in completing work on both lanes of the bridge ahead of start of the rush hour.
The aim had been to open the bridge in the early hours of tomorrow morning, but it was decided to bring that forward to avoid a repeat of last Friday's gridlock.
A managed traffic system is in place on South Quay to control the traffic along the busy thoroughfare.
