FANCY a career in showbiz? Now's your chance to show your talents as Haven Holidays - with four holiday parks in the Great Yarmouth area - holds X-Factor style open auditions.

The event is at Norwich City FC in Carrow Road on Monday and Tuesday, January 19 and 20, when aspiring performers will be put through their paces by a panel of judges from Haven Holidays, one of the UK's biggest employers of performers.

Haven is looking to recruit more than 300 entertainers for its 35 holidays for the 2009 season beginning at the end of March.

The company's four holiday parks in the Yarmouth area together employ more than 40 FunStars and singers and dancers.

Entertainments producer Simon Daniels, who is holding the many of the auditions, said: “We are looking for dynamic people with bright, bubbly personalities.

“You need to be a real team player to do well as everyone has to pull together to deliver our top quality entertainment package. It's hard work but exhilarating and great fun.”

Auditions for FunStars who help run the kids' clubs, talent shows and interactive stage shows and for dedicated singers and dancers.

The company - named among the top 20 big businesses in the UK to work for by the Sunday Times -- promises competitive pay and the opportunity to be part of Britain's biggest holiday brand delivering top quality breaks to some 1.5m people every year.

The auditions begin at 10am and on hand will be an experienced team of Haven entertainment managers who will hold an intensive day of auditions in dancing and singing, plus interviews.

Last year dozens of performers were recruited from Norfolk and several from Great Yarmouth including Nick Lansbury who was posted to Haven's flagship resort in Devon.

Another recruit was Hollie-Marie Sulter, 20, from Norwich who completed her first season at Haven's Caister Holiday Park and twice appeared on TV as news crews followed her progress through the summer. She said: “I had a fantastic season and hope to be back at Caister this year.”
