BUSINESSES are being urged to come forward and help six Great Yarmouth High School pupils reach their fundraising target to pay for a trip to Kenya.The group, which includes two year 11 and four year 10 pupils, are hoping to visit the African country between July 11 and 22 where they will participate in charity projects with children from other Norfolk schools.
BUSINESSES are being urged to come forward and help six Great Yarmouth High School pupils reach their fundraising target to pay for a trip to Kenya.
The group, which includes two year 11 and four year 10 pupils, are hoping to visit the African country between July 11 and 22 where they will participate in charity projects with children from other Norfolk schools.
But first they need to raise �5,800 to pay for the trip having so far collected �3,100 from a series of fundraising activities including an Easter raffle and sponsored swims.
Yarmouth High teacher Michaela Davies, who will be accompanying the students, said companies could pay �10 to enter a raffle draw and if their names were drawn out of the hat, their logo would appear on T-shirts worn by the students in Kenya.
Pupils from other high schools in the borough will also be participating in the African expedition, including Flegg and Cliff Park.
As well as helping out in the slums around Kenya's capital Nairobi the students will also be helping out with the refurbishment of Starehe Boys Centre in Nairobi.
