A further meeting is to be held to look at whether a coastal community should have a stronger say in its housing needs.
A public meeting had been held in Hemsby about the possibility of setting up a Community Land Trust (CLT).
CLTs are a form of community-led housing where local trusts, set up and run by local people, develop and manage homes as well as other assets important to that community.
MORE; trust meeting to be heldJames Bensly, who called the meeting, said: “There was some positive discussion, with those present indicating enthusiasm for the CLT model as a way of communities leading on the delivery of new affordable homes for local people.
“Attendees were given information leaflets and there was an offer to give further presentations at individual parish councils. The attendees agreed to meet again early in the new year to look at the potential of setting up a CLT, or trusts, with the parishes.”
