A care home in the Norfolk broads village of Hickling has raised £6,500 to buy an interactive table for dementia patients to enjoy.

The interactive table at Hickling House projects numerous images and games onto a table where it stimulates residents to join in and take part in numerous activities.

Margaret Preston, part of the activities team, said: “We try a person-centred approach when we do any of our activities and the interactive table goes a long way to providing stimulation and interest for all of the residents no matter what stage of dementia they’re at.

“They get an awful lot of fun and that’s one of the most important things for us at this care home is to make sure that our residents can smile.”

Hickling House provides care for residents at varying stages of dementia and the interactive table can be adapted to suit various residents needs.
