Great Yarmouth is set to be the centre of a nationwide celebration of circus this summer as the Hippodrome Circus stars in the six cities of circus event.
All over the UK events have been taking place to celebrate the 250th anniversary of circus being created in England, and none will be bigger than at the historic 115 year old Hippodrome says the Yarmouth venue.
The venue is staging the Summer Circus and Water Spectacular from July 11 to September 16.
Producer Jack Jay has called it an all-star cast of world class circus acts.
He said: “Every year we try to make our shows bigger and better, this year we wanted to make sure it was our best line-up ever, we’ve got sensational flying trapeze artists from Australia and Japan, Olympic quality gymnasts from the Ukraine, and literally the world’s best juggler from Mexico. We cannot wait.”
The cast will also be joined by Australia-born daredevil Sascha Williams who represented the Hippodrome on this year’s Britain’s Got Talent making it all the way to the semi-finals.
He said: “I love performing in Great Yarmouth, and this summer I’m bringing my most daring act yet, featuring stunts previously only seen on television.”
