A GREAT Yarmouth based adventure golf company has scooped major contracts for three new 19-hole adventure gold courses in Ireland with a total value of 1m.

Art-Tech Adventure Golf Services, based in Hall Plain, will build the courses over the next 18-months, with the first being open for Easter 2010.

Two of the courses will be pirate themed and will feature full size pirate galleons with battle scenes, while the third has an Aztec jungle theme and will feature a 20-metre high Aztec temple and waterfall.

All of the adventure golf courses will feature soundtracks and animatronics special effects.

Company director James Baldry said: “This is a large contract for the company and hopefully see's a return to investment in the entertainment and leisure industry. Most of the props and special effects including the galleons will be designed and built in Yarmouth using local specialist contractors in the theming industry.”

The company has designed and built over 30 courses throughout the UK and Europe.
