PUPILS from Homefield First School in Bradwell have just returned from a residential visit to York where they toured the Jorvik Centre, the Hungate Excavation and York Castle Museum. Children from Year 4 also got their hands dirty by taking part in a dig led by archaeologists. The visit enhanced the pupils' studies of Vikings. Many of the youngsters said the highlight of the trip was digging for bones while others said it was the best trip they had ever been on.
