The children have developed skills such as turning corners, signalling, doing u-turns, cycling past a parked car safely as well as general safety awareness and bike maintenance. All these skills are designed to prepare the pupils for cycling safely on the roads.
This has also complemented Homefield Primary School's status as a Bike It school, encouraging more families to cycle to school where possible.
Well done to all the year five pupils and not forgetting Mrs Ashington, the Bike It co-ordinator for Homefield, who also gained her Level 1 and 2 awards!
