IT WAS a busy final week at Homefield First and Nursery School, Bradwell, as it geared up to change to a primary.

To celebrate children took part in an activity day and buried a time capsule with each child contributing to the contents of the box.

There was also an official opening of the gazebo which had been funded by the Friends of Homefield School.

Julie Sandall, who spearheaded the fundraising, was at the official opening and the school choir entertained pupils and staff with a variety of songs.

Members of the after school art club were thrilled with their effort in creating a sea themed mosaic picture. Under the direction of teacher Mrs Horner pupils started their work of art in January, designing sea life creatures. These were transferred to a framed board and the children enjoyed seeing their picture come to life.
