PUPILS of Homefield School took part in Marie Curie Cancer Care's Mini Pots of Care - a creative activity for children to learn how plants grow, while helping people affected by cancer in their local community.
PUPILS of Homefield School took part in Marie Curie Cancer Care's Mini Pots of Care - a creative activity for children to learn how plants grow, while helping people affected by cancer in their local community. Each child planted their own daffodil bulb in the autumn and, supported by their teacher, they have monitored and cared for their growing shoot.
Last Friday, the children went to school wearing a yellow item for a donation to the charity's Great Daffodil Appeal, raising £224. The money will go directly to providing more hours of home nursing for people with terminal cancer.
