A CAT hit by a car outside a Caister holiday resort looks set to have a brighter future thanks to an appeal in last week's Mercury.
Two people have come forward to offer a home to the cat which nearly died after suffering serious head injuries and heavy blood loss when it was hit by the car in Ormesby Road, near Haven Holiday Village. A Good Samaritan picked her up and took her to Haven Veterinary Surgeons in Queen Anne's Road, Great Yarmouth.
However, efforts to trace her owner have so far not been successful.
Sarah Kostuk, head nurse at Haven, said the puss was quiet and lethargic from shock when she arrived and had to be fed through a syringe. She was given drugs to take away the inflammation from the head wound and checked in case of brain injuries. However, she had since made a good recovery and was eating solids again.
Anyone who recognises the cat can call Haven on 01493 416700.
