A 20-year-old man is to appear at Norwich Crown Court charged with causing the death of a teenage girl in a car crash.Luke McNally is alleged to have driven a Vauxhall Corsa van which left the road and struck a tree - causing fatal injuries to 15-yearold passenger Emily Knipe.
A 20-year-old man is to appear at Norwich Crown Court charged with causing the death of a teenage girl in a car crash.
Luke McNally is alleged to have driven a Vauxhall Corsa van which left the road and struck a tree - causing fatal injuries to 15-yearold passenger Emily Knipe.
It is said McNally drove the van without a driving licence on the A143 at Fritton on the morning of December 7 and thereby caused the death of Miss Knipe.
McNally, of Mariners Park Close, Hopton, and Miss Knipe, who also lived in Hopton, both worked as paper deliverers for McColls.
Miss Knipe died at the James Paget University Hospital, Gorleston, shortly after the accident and at the time of her death moving tributes were paid to the sports loving and joyful teenager.
McNally appeared at Yarmouth Magistrates Court yesterday to be formally committed to crown court for a plea and directions hearing on June 24.
If convicted for causing death by driving without a licence he could face up to two years in jail.
