Potters Resort to pay tribute to Overtones singer Timmy Matley

A five star resort is to pay an emotional tribute to the lead singer of a band who died aged 36.
On Sunday Potters Resort at Hopton will be planting a tree in memory of Timmy Matley of The Overtones who died earlier this month.
The band had been due to play at the resort on Sunday.
Replacement acts Frankie’s Guys, Divas and JukeBox Rogues will be performing instead.
John Potter, managing director at the resort, said they will be planting a small tree in memory to Timmy.
He added: “We also have a book of condolences for fans to write in that we will be forwarding to the band /family and will be doing some phone light type tributes during the evening’s replacement show.”
The Overtones have four top-ten albums in the UK and their debut, Good Ol’ Fashioned Love, reached number four in the charts.

Timmy had been battling skin cancer. He had joined The Overtones, originally called DYYCE and Lexi Joe, in 2010.
