Redwings horse rescue centres at Redwings Caldecott near Great Yarmouth, and Redwings Aylsham will be hosting raffles on July 27 and 28.

The winners will each take home a Norfolk-themed prize bundle including a Gnaw Chocolate gift pack, a set of Norfolk preserves and a Redwings cuddly toy.

Visitors to the two centres will also be challenged to photograph their day out and share their favourite snaps on Redwings’ Facebook or Twitter pages.

The photographer behind the winning image will receive a year’s free sponsorship of an Adoption Star horse or donkey living at either of the two centres.

Alison Lanchester, Redwings’ head of fundraising, said: “We’re really looking forward to taking part in the first ever Norfolk Day! Over the last 30 years, Redwings has become one of the leading equine welfare charities in the UK and we’re very proud to say it all started in Norfolk and to still have our headquarters here.”
