The children's ward at the James Paget University Hospital was officially re-opened by hospital chairman John Hemming this week following a major revamp.
A second high dependency room for children with critical needs who require extra care from nursing staff has been created.
Other improvements include a new dedicated kitchen for patients and their parents, televisions above all the inpatient beds, additional infection control measures and a new dedicated meet and greet reception area.
