A cafe in Ormesby has raised £800 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) after its manager received emergency care from the service.
Carolyn Skipper, who is manager at the Chapel Coffee House, had a serious cycling accident in September.
The EAAA attended and provided emergency critical care before transferring her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Mrs Skipper sustained a serious head injury and has now made a full recovery and is back working in the cafe.
However, without the rapid assistance of the EAAA the outcome of her accident could have been much worse.
Since then, the cafe has been raising money for the charity through a secondhand goods stall, which has totalled a donation of £800 for the EAAA.
A film crew was accompanying the EAAA team as they treated Mrs Skipper and the programme highlighting the work of the charity will be aired at 9pm on Sunday, May 20, on More 4.
