Comedy legend Jimmy Cricket is set to return to Great Yarmouth and we’re giving away a pair of tickets to four lucky readers who like to have a laugh.

Local promoters Weird Coastal Buoys who run the regular comedy club night at St George’s Theatre have brought back the veteran funny man after over a decade away from the town. Jimmy, known to older readers as a primetime household name, has not lost any of his Irish charm or downright silliness.

He is having something of a renaissance and is winning over younger audiences by packing comedy clubs across the UK. You won’t find Jimmy being smutty, insulting, political or smugly deconstructing his own comedy. He just has, quite simply, funny bones.

If this is not enough Jimmy is now a pop star too! Believe it or not he has written a song about a chance meeting with controversial footballer Luis Suarez.

His song, “I’ve been bitten by Luis Suarez,” was released on Tuesday and can be downloaded from Itunes and is also available in shops.

Jimmy is headlining for the regular Weird Coastal Buoys Comedy night at St George’s on Friday, September 12.

Also appearing is a finalist of Radio 2’s prestigious new act competition Mark Silcox, alongside the very lovely Ben Goddard and Mark Palmer.

Tickets are available from www.wcbcomedy.com/tickets or by calling 01493 331484. For more details about the WCB gigs you can also ‘like’ the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/wcbcomedy
